A fire broke out at Pinnacle Filling Station on Agbani Road, Enugu, on Friday morning, resulting in the destruction of three vehicles. Pinnacle Oil, the station’s owner, is a company founded by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.

The fire was swiftly contained with the assistance of federal and state fire service personnel, who responded promptly to the emergency. According to the Enugu State Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, no lives were lost in the incident. However, three vehicles waiting in line to purchase fuel were burned.

Ndukwe stated, “Normalcy has since been restored by the police, and preliminary investigations indicate that a fuel leakage from one of the vehicles at the station may have triggered the fire.”

In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, visited the scene and directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police from the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to launch a full-scale investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
