Mahdi Shehu, a prominent political commentator, has accused President Bola Tinubu of deceiving the public by sharing a picture of himself meeting with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.

Shehu claims that Tinubu was actually at St Mary’s emergency treatment center in London seeking medical care, not discussing global issues with the King as reported.

Shehu, known for his outspoken commentary on national affairs, stated via his X handle that “Tinubu lied: His picture with King Charles was shared to deceive people. He was at St Mary’s emergency treatment center in London for emergency medical care. No matter the hide and seek, what is destined will happen willy- nilly.”

NN News Media had earlier reported that Tinubu met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. Their discussion reportedly centered around key global and regional issues, with a particular emphasis on climate change. However, Shehu’s allegations suggest that the official narrative may not be entirely accurate.
