Tonye Cole, the All Progressive Congress (APC) Gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, was assassinated.

The APC campaign director for Ahoada West was reportedly kidnapped earlier in the run-up to Saturday’s governorship and house of assembly elections.

The politician, on the other hand, was discovered in a pool of his own blood on Saturday evening, his body riddled with bullets. As of press time, the state police command had not issued an official statement on the tragic development.

A graphic video of the deceased lying in a pool of his own blood was discovered.
