A document dug out from the archives shows that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore affidavit under oath in 1999 wherein he claimed that he graduated from University of Chicago, as well as the Chicago State University (CSU).

The affidavit, dated October 5, 1999, was sworn by Tinubu at the High Court of Lagos State entitled “Affidavit in Respect of Lost Certificate“.

In paragraph two of the Affidavit, Tinubu claimed that he “attended University of Chicago from 1972 to 1976 and Chicago State University from 1977 to 1979”.

In paragraph three of the same Affidavit, he further claimed that he “obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics, Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and qualified as Certified Public Accountant”.

Meanwhile, he presented  no documentation to prove that he is a Certified Public Accountant.

Tinubu, however, withdrew the said document when he was busted by the late legal icon, Chief Gani Fawehinmi, SAN.

When the University of Chicago denied him after Gani Fawehinmi’s expose, he ran back to Chicago State University.

See a copy of the affidavit below:

Tinubu recently under heavy scrutiny when the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, approached the District Court in Illinois, Chicago, to compel the Chicago State University to release the academic details of “Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.

During deposition, the school would later deny that the certificate Tinubu presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) did not emanate from the school, suggesting that Tinubu may have forged them.
