The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Nigeria has commenced the distribution of N20,000 grants to vulnerable citizens in Kogi State.

Minister Dr. Betta Edu emphasized that this financial assistance, launched by President Bola Tinubu, is not a loan and aims to bolster businesses, contributing to poverty alleviation.

Governor Yahaya Bello praised Tinubu’s commitment to eradicating poverty, announcing the creation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation in Kogi State.

The state plans to submit a bill for the establishment of the Kogi State Social Investment Agency, aligning with the broader national poverty reduction initiatives.
