Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, emphasizes importance of national unity and decries politicization of Kaduna bombing mistake
In a solemn address during the launch of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance emblem, Uzodinma cautioned against the politicization of the recent Kaduna bombing error. Stressing the significance of Nigeria’s unity for its survival, he urged politicians to refrain from exploiting the incident for political gains.
Governor Uzodinma underscored that the Nigerian military had acknowledged the bombing as an error, emphasizing the need to view it as a mistake without further political motivations. He acknowledged the inherent challenges in every profession, including the military, where avoidable mistakes may occur.
“No one is perfect, and it is only God that is perfect. I think we all should rise to pray to God to always continue to intercede to get the insecurity in Nigeria to abate,” the governor remarked, appealing to Nigerians to join efforts in comforting the affected Kaduna State indigenes.
He urged the nation to prioritize unity and empathy rather than resorting to political exploitation, particularly considering the timing of the incident shortly after the Presidential election.
