The Federal High Court in Abuja has unequivocally declared Senator Samuel Anyanwu as the rightful national secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The verdict, delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo, not only solidifies Anyanwu’s position but also delivers a resounding blow to attempts to prematurely remove him from office.

Justice Ekwo’s injunction prevents the PDP’s national leadership from appointing an acting national secretary, emphasizing that Anyanwu’s four-year tenure remains valid until December 9, 2025, in accordance with the party’s constitution. Anyanwu

Furthermore, the ruling extends its impact beyond party affairs, restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing any other individual as the national secretary of the PDP.

This decision comes after thorough consideration of the evidence presented, demonstrating a credible threat to Anyanwu’s position without adherence to the party’s constitutional provisions.

This legal triumph for Senator Samuel Anyanwu marks a significant chapter in his political journey, securing his status as the authentic national secretary and thwarting any attempts to undermine his authority.

The court’s decisive action aligns with its commitment to safeguarding the democratic process and upholding the principles enshrined in the PDP Constitution.
