Salihu Lukman, a former National Vice Chairman (North-West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing excuses regarding the current hardships in the country.

Lukman, in a statement released in Abuja on Monday, also disagreed with those who attribute the current hardships faced by Nigerians to former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Lukman criticized Tinubu for making excuses about the current hardships in Nigeria.

He disagreed with those blaming former President for the challenges, suggesting that APC leaders, including Tinubu, should take responsibility for Buhari’s failures and work towards improving the lives of Nigerians.

He urged Tinubu to acknowledge that the current hardships are primarily due to fuel subsidy removal and the floating of the Naira without proper planning. He cautioned that the APC government cannot renew the hope of Nigerians by giving excuses.

NN News Media recalls statements from a few weeks ago, where Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu claimed that Tinubu inherited a bankrupt country and an almost comatose administration, respectively.
