Former Anambra State Governor, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Passes Away in Abuja at the age of 87

In a statement released by Chief Rob Ezeife on behalf of the Ezeife Dynasty of Igbo-Ukwu, it was announced that Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife, a distinguished figure who served as the first Executive Governor of Anambra State and held various key positions in government, passed away on Thursday in Abuja.

The cause of his death was not disclosed. The family is expected to provide more details about the late statesman and the arrangements for his state burial in the coming days.

Ezeife, affectionately known as ‘Okwadike,’ was born on November 20, 1938, served as the Governor of Anambra State from January 1992 to November 1993 during the aborted Third Republic.”
