The Northern Elders have criticized Bola Tinubu’s administration, declaring it a dismal failure in ensuring the safety and security of Nigerian citizens.

The elders’ statement comes in response to the recent abduction of pupils from LEA Primary School, Kuriga, Chikum Local Government Area.

The elder emphasized that the time for tolerating such inadequacy is over, indicating a strong dissatisfaction with Tinubu’s leadership. This critique underscores the growing concerns among the northern elders about the current state of affairs.

Spokesperson Abdul-Azeez Suleiman minced no words, stating, “Enough is enough,” and lambasting the perceived inadequacies of the Tinubu administration in protecting the lives of children and residents. Suleiman emphasized that the release of the abducted schoolchildren, while a relief, serves as a stark reminder of the urgent need for improved security measures.

The Northern Elders Forum condemned the recurring incidents of mass abductions, pointing to them as evidence of the government’s failure to address the escalating security challenges plaguing the nation. The elders urged swift action and accountability from leaders to effectively tackle the pervasive insecurity threatening communities across Nigeria.
