U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has been captured by U.S. forces, sharing what he described as a photo of Maduro in custody.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump released an image allegedly showing the Venezuelan leader handcuffed and blindfolded aboard a U.S. warship. No independent confirmation has been provided by the U.S. government or international authorities.

Trump’s claim follows earlier U.S. allegations linking Maduro to international drug trafficking, for which Washington previously announced a multimillion-dollar reward for information leading to his arrest.

According to statements attributed to U.S. officials on social media, Maduro and his wife would face long-standing drug trafficking and terrorism-related charges in a New York federal court. However, as of the time of this report, Venezuelan officials and multiple international observers have denied that any such military operation or arrest has taken place.

The claims have sparked intense debate online, with analysts urging the public to wait for official confirmation from credible government sources.
