The U.S. President Donald Trump said that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has been killed.

In a social media post, Trump called Khamenei “one of the most evil people in history” and described his death as justice for Americans, Iranians, and others around the world.

Trump said U.S. intelligence and tracking systems, working closely with Israel, made the operation possible. He also claimed that other Iranian leaders were killed in the strikes.

According to Trump, some members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, military, and police forces no longer want to fight and are seeking protection from the United States. He said continued military action would aim to bring peace to the Middle East and the world, and that bombing would continue as long as needed.

There has been no official confirmation from Iran about Khamenei’s reported death.
