A viral video shows a woman picking unhealthy tomatoes near a gutter on a road in the South-West region of Nigeria, the home of President Bola Tinubu.

The video, shared by a user identified as iDAN 🦸🏽 @dangbanamanager, sparked outrage, with the caption: “This is really crazy. God will punish all of you that brought in APC.”

In the video, a background voice speaking in English and Yoruba is heard lamenting the state of the nation, saying, “This country is getting out of hand already; people are really suffering.”

NN News Media previously reported a deepening hunger crisis in Nigeria, largely attributed to recent economic policies under President Tinubu’s administration. These policies have caused widespread hardship, leaving many citizens struggling to meet basic needs.

Additional footage from social media shows residents of the South-West, including Yoruba land, standing in long lines for basic food items such as bread and yams. The situation has become desperate, with parents competing to secure food for their families, highlighting the growing food insecurity in the region. The alleged economic instability continues to fuel hunger across the country, affecting more Nigerians every day.
