The House of Representatives has set a 48-hour deadline for the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to account for the N3 billion linked to the agency.

During its ongoing examination of the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and the Fiscal Strategy Paper, the House of Representatives issued a strict 48-hour deadline on Monday for the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to account for the whereabouts of N3 billion linked to the agency, as highlighted in the Auditor General for the Federation’s 2022 report.

The Chairman of the Committee on Finance, who presided over an interactive session with key figures from Federal Government agencies at the National Assembly Complex, emphasized the urgency of the situation.

Additionally, the House directed the Nigerian Communications Commission to clarify how it utilized the N291 billion allocated for broadband development throughout the country in 2022, especially given the reported substandard services.
